Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) will launch MSA-plus (Member's Server Application) trading software to pave the way of web-based trading from different platforms by July.
After the installation of MSA-plus software, developed by an Indian software company, the investors will get trading access to DSE by using individual passwords from anywhere through the connectivity of internet.
DSE arranged a training programme on MSA-plus in the city Monday.
SEC Chairman Professor Dr. M Khairul Hossain termed the development a significant movement in the stock market.
"It's another step towards flourishing the stock market," Mr. Hossain said.
He said the web-based trading, which will be executed with the support of MSA-plus software, will reduce risk factors for investors.
Mr Hossain also said the regulator is trying to regain its lost image through the reforms of rules and regulations.
SEC members Professor Helal Uddin Nizami, Arif Khan and Md. Amzad Hossain, DSE President Md Shakil Rizvi and senior VP Ahsanul Islam Titu attended the programme.
