Dhaka and Chittagong stocks closed higher on Monday.
The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) general index gained 81.84 points or 1.42 percent to 5844.72.
Of the 257 traded issues, 176 advanced, 73 declined and eight remained unchanged.
The turnover stood at TK 6.7 billion.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) Selective Categories Index ended at 10456.73 points, up 150.37 points or 1.45 percent.
Of the 195 issues that changed hands, 129 gained, 54 slipped and 12 retained their earlier prices.
The turnover stood at Tk 942 million.
